Web-Based Lecture Browser
Žižka, Josef ; Mikolov, Tomáš (referee) ; Fapšo, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with a web-based lecture browser. Its goal is to facilitate the access to information with the use of modern speech and multimedia technologies. Technologies used for this browser are discussed. Video recordings play a very important role in the browser, and therefore the big portion of this work is aimed at the digital video and methods of its delivery using streaming servers. Solutions of similar multimedia browsers are mentioned. The reader is acquainted with the browser design. This includes describing the various components of the browser and how their mutual synchronization is done. The final version of the browser is introduced and the problems that occurred during the development process and deployment into service are mentioned. In the conclusion of this work the future development of the web-based lecture browser is discussed.
Recognition and Search in SKype Calls
Tomášek, Pavel ; Plchot, Oldřich (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The project aims at a system for recognition of Skype calls. One of the necessary project focuses is finding out a high-quality Skype recorder. Signal preprocessing (segmentation of speech/silence) and speech recognition follows. Another project interest is in choosing a presentation software, which meets the project needs. Essential part of this work is also indexing and search implementation. This project is a proof-of-concept and shows one of the ways of speech recognition utilization.
Multimedia Browser for Lectures
Kubalík, Jakub ; Potúček, Igor (referee) ; Schwarz, Petr (advisor)
In preamble reader will understand the purpose of this project and why it was initiated. It's large team project, so description of its structure represents main part of this report. A core of the browser contain a lot of techniques, e.g. system of components, special internal communication and other. The main goals of this system are portability and reusability - there is exact specification of syntax rules and used data formats. Non-interchangeable role in project has format XML. Invention of new components was the last intervention in project, with intention to use of the project in future and involve in complex search engine - the engine discuss final part of report.
Module for a Lecture Browser for Correcting the Output of Speech Recognizer
Srb, Pavel ; Schwarz, Petr (referee) ; Fapšo, Michal (advisor)
The core of my work is a browser upgrade, which contains user based transcript-correction from speech recognizer, including creation of transcription storage and sharing server. Introduction of my work mentions motivation for multimodal usage in computer science sphere. Further in text is list of speech recognition reasearch categories from Faculty of Information Technology. The main attention is given to description of multimodal browser used for browser technology testing and presentation. In future, the multimodal browser is supposed to be used as a study-utility or common user multimodal player. Required features of this player, concepts, realization description and whole C++, wxWidgets, XML, HTTP based architecture is defined.
